Quickbook in My Computer

I have been using Quickbookds in my tax and bookkeeping practice for many years. I think I purchased the first version. Intuit has continued to be a sour spot in my side, but so many of my clients use it I have continued to update my subscription to now I own the QuickBooks Proadvisor version.

This year in the hope of making my office more efficient I purchased the mulit user version so 4 of us in the office could be accessing data from our network storage drive. It has been a walk down a street where I have met either stress or frustration at each turn. I was told that I would receive a package within 5 days with the program and licensing numbers. After 8 days I called and talked to a guy who couldn't answer my question, at least he spoke English as a first language. So I call again and talk to sales, there I learn that I would not be receiving a package, I could use the CD that I already had, which was a single user version. I just needed to use the numbers sent to me via an email to install it. So I wasted a week, that I could not afford being tax season is here and the workload is hanging out the file cabinets.

Now I am set, right??? I start installing QB 07 on other machines in my office. I upgrade several of the company data files to the 2007 format. When I try to save the program up to the network storage drive, the program throws me an error. Saying I can not save to another drive, "Well tell me why did I purchase all this software for I say to the machine.", I say to the machine. It answered me back with the same snide silence it always does. So I call tech support.

My attitude is not good, spent numerous hours trying to get this system going in my office that the sales person told me would work and was an easy install and I can do less now then I could before I spent all this money. So when a young lady answered my tech call, with an accent that told be I was probably talking to someone outside of the US, I cringed. Calm I say to myself, you can handle this, be patient and kind, this person can help you. WRONG!!@!

I explained my problem four times and she still did not get it, but she had an answer. After putting me on hold she came back speaking with a strong accent with instructions what I needed to do. She was reading her answer from some script a tech wizard had put together to answer all our problems. I had two issues. 1. She did not understand my problem and 2. I could not understand her answer, I asked her three times to repeat her answer and she became irritated with me. I gave up.

Then to finish off the day, QB tentacles had reached into my computer, and done something to the set up. Now any computer that has QB2007 on it has to be turned off twice before it shuts down. Intuit has gotten into my computer system more then I am comfortable with.

Any suggestions?
